Terms of service,
in plain words.

The terms for using Gnista and gnista.sh, and what you get when you buy a licence. The sale itself goes through Creem, our merchant of record, under Creem’s buyer terms (opens in a new tab).

Who we are

Gnista and gnista.sh are made by Blixt & Dunder ApS, Sølvgade 38, st, 1307 København K, Denmark, VAT number DK36055715 (“we”). These terms apply when you use the Gnista app, its helper and this site, and when you buy a licence.

The trial

Every feature, free for 7 days from the first launch, with no account and no card. After that, Gnista needs a licence to keep showing your agents; your agents keep working either way.

A personal licence

  • Is for one named person, on their own Macs.
  • Is paid once and is yours to keep. There is no subscription.
  • Includes every update released in the year after you buy it. The versions from that year keep working for good.
  • Can have another year of updates, for €9, bought in Gnista’s Settings. The year runs on from the end of the one you have, or from the day you pay if that has passed.

Team plans

  • Are for organisations. A company that buys Gnista for the people who work there, or deploys it through MDM, uses a team plan.
  • Cover as many Macs as the plan says: Team 5 covers 5, Team 10 covers 10 and Team 25 covers 25. Places can be freed and moved to other Macs.
  • Are paid yearly and renew each year until cancelled. You can cancel any time in Creem’s customer portal, from the link in your receipt, or by writing to us. The plan then runs to the end of the year you paid for.
  • Include every update released while the plan is active. When it ends, your team keeps using the last version released while you paid, for good.
  • Are the only licences that unlock settings managed through MDM.

Refunds

Changed your mind? Ask for a refund within 14 days of buying, and you’ll get it, no questions asked. A refunded personal key stops working; a refunded team plan keeps the versions released before the refund.

Who sells Gnista

Gnista is made by Blixt & Dunder (opens in a new tab). Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia) sells it for us as the merchant of record: they take the payment, handle VAT and sales tax, send your key and issue invoices and receipts. Buying is under Creem’s buyer terms (opens in a new tab); what they collect is in Creem’s privacy notice (opens in a new tab).

Using Gnista

  • You may use Gnista on Macs your licence covers, for any work, private or commercial.
  • Don’t share, sell or publish your licence key, or get round the licence check.
  • Don’t copy, resell or redistribute Gnista itself, or take it apart, except where the law lets you.

Your agents and your code

Gnista shows what your coding agents ask for and passes your answer on to them. What you allow is your decision, and what your agents then do is up to you and them. Your code, prompts and sessions stay on your Mac; we never see them.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep Gnista reliable, but it is provided as it is. Agents and macOS change, and a feature may stop working with a new version of an agent until Gnista is updated. Your rights as a consumer under the law where you live are not affected.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost data, lost profit or work an agent does, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Gnista in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn’t limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability the law doesn’t let us limit.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes don’t take back anything you have already paid for. If a change matters for a team plan, we email the address the plan was bought with before it applies.

Law and disputes

Danish law applies to these terms, and disputes go to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law where you live, and you can also take a dispute to the courts there. Please write to us first, at support@gnista.sh; most things are solved quickly.
